Plants and nature have always been an important love in my life – a passion that just naturally translates into wanting to share that with others. Plants bring peace, joy, and just as the mythical flowering fern is said to bring luck to those who find it, hopefully our plants and garden products can bring a little joy and luck to others as well. Plants have simply always been a part of the fabric of life – filling our bellies with delicious food and beautifying our homes. Here at the Flowering Fern, a small family-run business, we hope to be able to give people the chance to enjoy their own fresh food with seasonal vegetable, flower, and herb seedlings, and lovely and easy to care for greenery and items for indoors throughout the rest of the year as well.

Note that reservations are mostly for our tomato, pepper, and eggplants as there are only about a dozen of each variety grown each year to preserve quality and reduce waste , but that we have many other plants available for browsing that are not listed here such as common and unique herbs, unique veggies, cucumbers, squash, everbearing strawberry plants, huckleberries, ground cherries, and occasional unique annuals or perrenials.
As a small home-nursery, we only have limited numbers of each outdoor heirloom specialty tomato variety. In late winter our pre-order for varieties will open up for spring pick-up. Stay tuned!
